Today, i upload a new update for my game Song of Morus -Soulful Scarlet. It will be last update for Magical Girl Game Jam, because the next update will be for Devtober.

It seems Magical Girl Game Jam just extended the rating period. If you haven't rated my game Song of Morus -Soulful Scarlet. please access the submission page, try my game, and do a rate. It will be appreciated. But I would say, today it's the end point of me polishing the content in MGGJ. and the start point of adding new content for Devtober. Yes, this devlog is about what i want to add in my game during devtober. (althought it's already 15th now)

I have created a new character Aurum, who is a paper servant dummy animated by protagnist Song's sorcery. Just a fun fact. For Chinese traditional funeral, people would like to burn objects made of joss paper, and expect the dead can recieve it and use. Cash, house, cars, dress groceries, even modern electrionic like smartphones. And paper servant dummy is one of these that yo ucan burn. However, our protagnist Song, instead of burning the paper servant, animates him and sees him as a partner in battle. And this is context you need to know for this character.

In the coming content, he will be a guide in a tutorial level explaning the control, and a boss in a tutorial boss fight. His projectile will be hell cash. Yes , "Hell cash". I don't know why. IRL the male paper servants sometimes are holding cash, maybe for bribing in underworld. The mindset of Chinese tradition is weird but fun. And it's part of the element of my project

Also, i want add new action for player. In my big picture, the character will have 3 actions: shoot projectile, cast defend spell, and AoE spell. But i run out of time so i only target to finish the defend spell feature
